Accreditation in law enforcement agencies is a necessary measure to ensure organizational professionalism in police departments. Explain the origins and importance of accreditation in modern police departments and how Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and the Commission on the Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) facilitate this effort.
